Details:

Santa Rosa Island is one of five islands in the Channel Islands National Park, located 26 miles off the coast of Southern California.  At 53,195 acres, Santa Rosa Island is the second largest island in the Park and is a popular location for camping, snorkeling, kayaking, and bird-watching.  ArcSine performed field investigations, prepared Contract Documents, and provided construction support services, analysis, and conceptual design of 60-kilowatt and 30-kilowatt cogeneration systems to feed community center electrical loads, and heat domestic water and a public swimming pool.  Included were 11 historic buildings powered primarily by diesel engine generators, with photoelectric and wind-powered backup.  The project provided power to the water storage tanks, generator building, four residences, wells, a shop/branding shed, barn, bunk house, and pier.
